Nicky Walton-Flynn

Nicky Walton-Flynn (Founder).  BSc, MSc, NCAC (Acred), EMDR trained.  Aviva practitioner

Nicky has 10 years experience in addiction psychology, working in abstinence based residential rehabs and also in harm minimisation agencies.  She has a BSc in Social Science & MSc in Addiction Psychology and Counselling. her thesis on “the relationship between sexual identity and addict identity within a 12 step treatment discourse” received an academic award in 2009 from LSBU.

Nicky has trained with Pia Mellody at the Meadows in Arizona, undertaking her PIT programme. This training qualifies her to work with developmental trauma and facilitate trauma group workshops. Nicky facilitates trauma workshops at private residential rehabs and also at her weekend workshops.  She also uses this model in her private practice, where appropriate. Nicky is also an EMDR trained therapist.

Prior to making the transition to a career in addiction and trauma therapy, Nicky had a successful career as a senior research analyst in the IT and telecommunications sector. She is well positioned to understand fully the pressures that working in the city and global markets create. She operates a  private practice in South West London and in the City of London at London Bridge. Her approach is integrative using CBT, gestalt, humanistic and psycho-dymanic techniques. Nicky adheres to FDAP and BACP ethical practices and undertakes regular independent clinical supervision.

Alistair Richardson

Alistair Richardson. MSc, NCAC (Acred)

Alistair has been working in the field of trauma treatment and addiction recovery for over 13 years at a variety of top rehab centres in England and abroad. He now runs a successful private practice in London and in Kent.

Alistair has a MSc in addiction counselling, and specializes in helping empower others to overcome the effects of childhood and acute trauma, co-dependency problems and addictions. He is trained and experienced at Post Induction Therapy both in group and individually and has run and co-facilitated trauma healing workshops over the past 6 years.

He is also an experienced practitioner in the use of and integration of energy psychology such as Classic EFT, Energy EFT and Matrix Re-Imprinting in his work.

Hilary Thompson Betts

Hilary Thompson Betts MSc

Hilary has over 17 years experience in the addiction treatment field and received her Master of Science degree in Addiction Counselling and Psychology from the University of Greenwich in 2006. She trained in Post Induction Therapy training intensives with Pia Mellody at the Meadows in Arizona and intensive training for Sexual Addiction with Maureen Canning.

Hilary has held a senior managerial post at the Priory Hospital North London and played a key role in launching a successful survivor’s/trauma programme to meet the needs of adult survivor’s of childhood trauma.  Since leaving the Priory in February 2012, Hilary’s clinical work extends to her private counselling practice in Harley Street, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. Hilary works with individuals, couples and families.

Hilary’s training and experience with addiction and trauma, co-dependency and love addicted/love avoidant behaviour, qualifies her to work with the increasing number of individuals seeking recovery from the symptoms of addiction, and the underlying trauma  that causes life-long patterns of self-destructive behaviour. Hilary’s passion is facilitating Trauma Reduction Workshops;  an experiential therapeutic process which assists in releasing frustrating and painful emotions, thereby empowering people to be free from past trauma.
